ORANGE FARM. – A man has died after an abandoned building collapsed on him this morning.

City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi reports that Rescue Technicians are attending to building collapse incident in Orange Farm.

“One person was confirmed dead and another one treated on scene then transported to hospital for further medical care.”

According to Mulaudzi, the two men were apparently stripping the abandoned building when it collapsed on them.

“Residents are urged to not enter construction sites or even try to remove material from such buildings,” Mulaudzi adds.
