Carnival Parade to revive Ubuntu

The Carnival Parade will bring Rio to Orange Farm.

ORANGE FARM.- The Nkosana Ngobese Creations, a one-stop art company in association with the Nkosana Ngobese Foundation, both operating in the township of Orange Farm will be shutting down the streets around the area on 12 November.

With their ‘Puppets Street Theatre and Indigenous Music’ Carnival Parade, and under the theme #RevivalOfUbuntu, the carnival will have a host of performances that will pit the old against the new.

The event will have two processions that will parade from two separate locations, simultaneously. Both processions will culminate with a main event at the Orange Farm Multi-Purpose Sports grounds where there will be a main stage.

Group A will be stationed at Love Live Y Centre EXT6, which is a youth-centric side with contemporary acts, while Group B will be headlined by Indigenous arts and acts.

The Carnival Parade will bring Rio to Orange Farm and the streets will be used as a canvas, colour and life will be brought to the township. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the ‘Halala Carnival’.
