SHARPEVILLE.- It was chaos and panic when Sharpeville residents were left without water for days recently.

The residents were all over in search of water in the neighbourhood.

“It has been two days without water and under this heat we are going to die. I want to cook but there is no water. We have not received any notification that there will be no water like before. If they told us we could have made sure we filled our containers in advance. Right now we don’t even know how long we will be without water,” said residents.

When Sedibeng Ster arrived in the area, people, young and old were all overlooking where they could get water.
