A call to all men

"I do not doubt that every man went home well motivated because of some of the things that were discussed at the 'Imbizo Ya Madoda'."

DEDEUR.- The De Deur SAPS, and its Community Policing Forum (CPF) in conjunction with other stakeholders held an ‘Imbizo Ya Madoda’ (meeting for all men) at TMC Ministry Church over the weekend.

This initiative was attended by men from different organisations within the De Deur policing precinct.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Happy Lethoba who was behind this initiative said this initiative is one of the other projects that are aimed at giving support to men as victims of Gender Based Violence (GBV) by creating a safe environment for men within their households.

“It was a great day with men sharing their life experiences and encouraging each other to talk and use our services for support. I want to thank all the stakeholders who made this event a great success, especially De Deur Station Commander, Colonel Lucas Nkosi for gracing our occasion. The Station Commander applauded the men for coming together to talk about their challenges,” she concluded.

Some of the stakeholders who contributed to the success of this initiative include De Deur SAPS, Patrollers, Youth Desk, Non-Profit Organisations, Masp, and Wasp to mention but few.

All men who graced the event were awarded with certificate of attendance.
