SEBOKENG.- Youngsters showcased their God-given talent when Vaal Dortmund FC organized a Top 4 Soccer Tournament in Sebokeng on Saturday.
This one-day soccer spectacular took place at the dusty soccer ground in Zone 14 next to Botebo-Tsebo Secondary School. The tournament was for the u/13 and u/15 with individual prizes at the end of the tournament.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Thabiso Nkoko said he was overwhelmed by the talent that was displayed throughout the tournament with these youngsters showcasing their talent. There were individual awards such as Goalkeeper of the Tournament, Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament, Middlefielder of the Tournament, and Defender of the Tournament.
Andile Mgcina from On For Sorry FC was named the Goalkeeper of the Tournament, while Siphesihle Mofokeng from the same club was named the Defender of the Tournament. Neo Fokane walked away with the Midfielder of the Tournament award.
Nkoko told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Sedibeng is blessed when it comes to soccer talent and on Saturday, these youngsters demonstrated this.
“I do not doubt in my mind that most of these young players will go far with football if what I saw on Saturday is anything to go by. It was a great day of development football with these youngsters showcasing their talent. This region is blessed when it comes to talent and these youngsters’ talent needs to be natured,” said.
