
EVATON.- The time of the year has come when the Sedibeng community will spend their festive holidays watching ‘Kasi Football’ at the Pooe Community Festival Family Games in Evaton.
This annual tournament’s draw was conducted at Evaton Mall on 12 December.
Every year local soccer fans pack the venue to capacity to watch Kasi Football, with shibobos, show me your numbers, vula-valas, tsamaya, and kneeling on the ball being the order of the day among others. This festival tournament is known for attracting teams from all over Gauteng.

The tournament organiser, Kgogi Pooe said that this tournament is for Sedibeng Community families with young and old coming to spend their festival holidays watching football. He said he is grateful for the impact this tournament made not only in Sedibeng but also in Gauteng.

“I want to thank the Sedibeng community for always coming in big numbers to support this tournament. This tournament belongs to them and they look forward to watching their favourites teams every year. The tournament is growing every year attracting teams from as far as Pretoria, Free State, and other regions, and provinces,” said Pooe.
The winner will smile to the bank with a cheque of R150 000 while the runner-ups will be rewarded with R50 000. The 3rd placed team will go home with R25 000 while the 4th placed will receive R10 000.
