Mabula garners two awards in Dubai
Mabula was honored with two awards at the ceremony. The awards were for the Vice Principal of the Year and Dynamic Teacher of the Year.
MEYERTON. – The Sedibeng Region was well represented when Sicelo Primary School Deputy Principal, Florence Mabula attended the Global Education Summit in Dubai.
The Prestigious event took place on Sunday, January 14. Mabula was one of two people from South Africa who attended the awards. Mabula was honored with two awards at the ceremony. The awards were for the Vice Principal of the Year and Dynamic Teacher of the Year.
Speaking To Sedibeng Ster upon her return, she said the second award came as a surprise to her. “I did not expect to get two awards. I was shocked and overwhelmed by the achievement. I’m honored and grateful.”
Mabula sees her international recognition as a way to form global relationships with other educators.
“Teachers are change makers and serving beyond the call of duty pays. I urge all teachers to keep on putting the future of our children first.”
In 2023, Mabula made waves by proudly representing South Africa in Delhi, India, where she received the Global Teacher’s Award at the esteemed Global Education Fest 2023.
The Principal at Sicelo Primary School, Patricia Nkabinde congratulated Mabula on her achievements. She said that Mabunda is diligent and hard-working.
“She is one of the most hard-working people I have ever come across. She is passionate about helping children to reach their potential. We are so proud of her.”
