SAPS cares for children’s development
The kids were given few tasks to check if they were mentally, physically, vocally, and socially developed.
VAAL MARINA. – The Vaal Marina South Africa Police Services (SAPS) members continue to show their commitment and dedication to the development of children in the area.
The Vaal Marina SAPS’ Social Crime Coordinator, Agape Lerato Community Services Auxiliary Social Worker, Somikazi Msungubali, and SAVF (Suid Afrikaanse Vrouwe Federasie) Child and Youth Care Worker, Manapo Khanye, visited the Sakhisizwe Day Care at the Mamello Informal Settlement in Vaal Marina yesterday.
The visit was meant to monitor the development of the children.
Police spokesperson, Tshilidzi De Huis said the kids were given few tasks to check if they were mentally, physically, vocally, and socially developed.
“They were also taught a few educational songs, pictures to colour were given, and lots more. The kids enjoyed the whole process because they were given entertainment items in between. In addition, children’s rights pamphlets were distributed,” De Huis said.
