Suspect (34) arrested for unlicensed firearm

EVATON. – A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm in Evaton on Thursday night.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said that the Sedibeng TRT unit received information about a man in possession of a firearm at Wright Road. Upon their arrival, they found a man and searched him,  and that is when they found the firearm in his possession.

The police requested a license for the firearm but he couldn’t produce it. A case of possession of an unlicensed firearm was opened and the suspect was arrested.
