EVATON.- Several suspects were arrested during ‘Operation Shanela’ on Saturday in Evaton.

During the operation, Constable Thulisile Msibi said, “Several arrests were made by ‘Operation Shanela’ members for countless crimes in Evaton.”

suspects were nabbed for various crimes including possession of drugs, selling liquor without a license, drinking and driving, drinking in public, and illicit cigarettes. Undocumented people were also part of those arrested.

During the operation, alcohol was seized, and illegal shebeens were closed. Meanwhile, Sedibeng District Commissioner Major General Lemba thanked the members for putting in efforts that always result in admirable successful outcomes on the operation.
