SEDIBENG. – Expectation is building up across Mzansi as fans eagerly await the sold-out Red Bull Symphonic concert, featuring the popular King of Amapiano, Kabza De Small.
Among the talented group set to grace the stage is a promising young artist from the Vaal, Sibusiso Mkhwanazi, who has secured a desired spot as one of the eight backup singers for this groundbreaking event.
Hailing from Zone 11, the 23-year-old singer and songwriter said he is thrilled about his extraordinary opportunity.

Red Bull Symphonic Kabza De Small with Ofentse Pitse and the Symphonic Orchestra, is a ground-breaking blend of modern-style music and classical orchestration, will make its highly awaited debut in South Africa on June 8, 2024 at the famed Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City in Johannesburg.
This unprecedented performance will bring together two musical worlds as the famous King of Amapiano will perform his iconic repertoire with a full-scale symphonic orchestra led by female conductor, Pitse.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Mkhwanazi expressed his excitement and gratitude for the chance to perform alongside Kabza De Small and Pitse.

“I’m very excited to be part of the backing vocalists for the event and equally happy that I will be performing one of the songs,” he said.
“It’s my first time on the biggest stage with a renowned artist. I mean, this is great for my portfolio as an artist. I am in the history books of Amapiano and with the king himself. But all thanks to Mr. Tshepo Matlala and Bokamoso Arts Institute for the opportunity,” he said.
Detailing his musical love, Mkhwanazi said his journey started at an early age.

“My journey started at the age of 12 years old when I was a soprano singer in a group called Charmers Male Voice (CMV). Since then, I have witnessed growth and more love in music,” he said.
