MIDVAAL—The teachers at Michael Rua Primary School in De Deur were left in awe after they were celebrated and recognised for their contribution to the school in a special event.
The event took place on November 06 and sought to encourage and motivate teachers to continue being positive role models and contributors to a conducive learning environment for pupils. The theme of the day was “Arise, mother of the nation.”
The Principal of the school, Vangile Molefe awarded teachers for their hard work. The event was geared towards advancing the standards of quality teaching and learning.
Guest Speaker Cindy Sebushi popularly known as Teacher Ntswembu called on teachers to heed their calling.
“It is out of fashion to complain about the lack of resources. Teachers can turn something blank into something very colourful. Teachers know that when they enter a class, they must be serious about the business of the day because the future president of the country might be in the class. When you change the life of a child you impact the community.”
