SASOLBURG – The Afrikaanse Hoërskool Sasolburg has been rocked by controversy.

This as the School’s Governing Body (SGB) launched an urgent investigation into allegations against one of its educators.

Furious parents have come forward, demanding swift action against the unnamed teacher accused of misconduct.
In a statement issued by the SGB, the committee assured parents and the community that they are taking the matter seriously.

“While the investigation is ongoing, we wish to emphasise that the SGB distances itself from any conduct that is not in line with the values and responsibilities expected of an educator,” read the statement.

“We affirm our commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity within the school environment,” continued the statement.

The allegations, which have sent shockwaves through the school, remain undisclosed.

“However, sources claim that parents have expressed grave concerns over the educator’s conduct. While the investigation unfolds, the SGB has distanced itself from any behaviour deemed inappropriate or unprofessional.”
“We assure all parents, learners, and stakeholders that appropriate steps will be taken in accordance with due process and applicable policies.”

“The well-being of our learners and the integrity of our institution remain our top priorities,” the statement continued.

The SGB has promised to keep the community informed as the process unfolds but has urged patience and cooperation.
