ZAMDELA – Five suspects are behind bars after being arrested for possession of copper cable.
Fezile Dabi District police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani confirmed that their members arrested the men, aged between 20 and 59 years, on May 13.
The Fezile Dabi District Highway Patrol arrested five men following information received about a suspicious bakkie travelling on the R57 heading towards Sasolburg.
Police members intercepted the vehicle at the R57 and R82 crossing and seized copper cable weighing 120.5kg valued at more than R20 000. The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.
