Oritonda wins model of the year

Mabaso is said to have a deep love for dancing, singing, modelling, acting, and loves spending time with her siblings.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Oritonda Amanda Mabaso (5) has won the title for the 2025 Model of the Year in the little category at the recent Ace Models National Conference (AMNC) held at the Emerald Resort & Casino.

The event marked the 20th anniversary, making the conference a significant milestone. The event brings models and directors from all of Ace Models International’s franchises in one place to celebrate the company’s achievements. It produces an opportunity for attendees to network.

Speaking to Ster North, Bridgette Mavhunga says Oritonda began her modelling career in June.

“This is a very big achievement for our daughter because she has only been modelling for five months, and she has achieved so much in a short period of time. She has entered three competitions since she began and has done exceptionally well.”

Mabaso is said to have a deep love for dancing, singing, modelling, acting, and loves spending time with her siblings.

Her favourite moment is being called on stage and being crowned. Mabaso has set her eyes on becoming a part of the fashion world by studying fashion design. She wants to open a modelling school to inspire young girls to believe in themselves.

“She always tells us how she is going to travel the world. Confidence is her best accessory, her motto in life is to make progress, not perfection, to her every day is a second chance.”

Speaking about her daughter’s achievement, Mavhunga says she is beaming with pride.

“I would also like to give a big thanks to teacher Natasha Mostert for all her hard work, as she played a big role in what my daughter has achieved. I would like to see my daughter representing South Africa and traveling the world.”
