Sedibeng Ster hereby retracts in its entirety the article titled “ELM appoints controversial company”, published on its website on 12 January 2026, concerning Syntell (Pty) Ltd.

Sedibeng Ster acknowledges that the defamatory allegations that were made against Syntell were not independently verified prior to publication and that Syntell was not offered the right of reply prior to publication.

In light of the above, Sedibeng Ster retracts the article in its entirety.

Sedibeng Ster unreservedly apologises to Syntell and to its readers for the publication of the article.
