Community heroes rewarded for tireless fight against crime

Fezile Dabi District Commissioner has showered deserving CPF members with prices during a prize giving ceremony.

ZAMDELA – Zamdela SAPS management held an intimate prizegiving ceremony on February 26.

This was part of a Community Policing Forum (CPF) meeting to appreciate the Zamdela CPF and patrollers for their tireless efforts in curbing crime in the area.

Fezile Dabi Police spokesperson Sergeant Josephine Rani said the event was honoured by the presence of Fezile Dabi District Commissioner Major General Makubo.

“Makubo commended the CPF’s dedication to community safety. In his address, he highlighted the challenges faced by SAPS, including resource shortages, but praised the Zamdela CPF for working closely with SAPS to combat crime under any circumstances.”

Makubo emphasised that the SAPS belongs to the community and appreciated the CPF’s commitment to this partnership.

“The event showcased the positive impact of community-driven initiatives in fighting crime,” said Rani.
