ORANGE FARM – The police have launched a murder case docket after a man was shot several times while sitting with a friend inside his vehicle. The incident happened on April 13.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Shaan Motsapi reports that police were summoned to the scene in Extension 6a around 19:00, and on arrival found the victim’s lifeless body in the driver’s seat inside his vehicle.

Motsapi explains that the victim had been visiting a female friend, and they were both seated inside the vehicle when they were ambushed by two unknown suspects described only as wearing dark clothing.
One suspect fired several times as the victim tried to exit, then both fled the scene on foot.

The motive for the brazen shooting is unknown at this stage, and police have yet to arrest suspects.
