In her acceptance speech, Dr. Masite said, “I am truly overwhelmed and deeply honored by the University of Zululand for this recognition of my outstanding contribution to auditing, risk management, governance, and leadership in South Africa. This recognition is not only a personal milestone, but also a reminder of the responsibility we all carry to work tirelessly towards the betterment of others, particularly in the fields of audit governance, internal control, and oversight professions, in order to strengthen government accountability systems.”
“Furthermore, this recognition adds special value to the professionalisation drive of CIAGOLSA, where I serve as an Executive Director. One important lesson I have learned is that when you consistently do the right thing, your time will come and your efforts will eventually be recognized. I am also grateful to the Almighty for His mercy and grace, especially considering my disadvantaged background,” she said.
