During the initial court proceedings at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrates Court, it was revealed that Nthabiseng had hired hitmen to kill her husband with the help of her friend, Lineo.

Maxambela said the shooter was traced but couldn’t be arrested as he died after he was allegedly kidnapped and killed in Klerksdorp, North West.

“Both women were remanded in custody since their arrest on November 20 after bail was successfully denied. Their trial started on February 09 at the Pretoria High Court sitting in Palm Ridge. Both accused were found guilty of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. Furthermore, they were both declared unfit to possess a firearm.”

Malefu says that these are the results they had expected from the onset.

“We are happy about the outcome, although it will not bring my brother back.”
