Renowned author launches six books at once

Sasolburg author Angelina Jwili has turned pain into purpose, writing, publishing and launching six books in less than a year.

VANDERBIJLPARK – Popular Sasolburg author and publisher Angelina Jwili has achieved a remarkable literary milestone after successfully writing, publishing and launching six books in less than a year.

The glamorous launch event, held at Stonehaven recently, attracted dozens of guests, including fellow authors, community leaders and well-known figures from across the region.

Among those in attendance was renowned televangelist Moratehi Sekete, who joined supporters in celebrating Jwili’s achievement.

The six books launched were Rejection and Resilience, Deprived Rights as a Child: Paying a Debt I Didn’t Create, Returning to a Broken Home, Life After Divorce, Self Empathy and Validate Your Own Grief Journey.

Jwili, a Foundation Phase educator at Nelson Mandela Primary School, said her passion for empowering people through education inspired her latest journey as an author.

“I have a passion for teaching, especially children, because they are fragile and mostly clueless about life. As a teacher, I help open their eyes, build confidence and prepare them for the future,” she said.

The mother of two daughters, aged 12 and nine, credits parenthood for shaping her character and strengthening her resilience.

“Every time I look at my daughters, I cannot help but be grateful to God. Through them I have learnt patience, love, kindness, support and protection,” she added.

Jwili revealed that the books were born during one of the most challenging periods of her life.
Overwhelmed by disappointment, hurt and confusion, she found herself searching for answers and guidance.

“I kept asking God why there was so much sadness in my life and what I should do next. Then I heard a voice telling me to write a book. At first, I ignored it because I knew nothing about writing books. But the voice persisted, and eventually I obeyed,” she explained.

What followed was an intense nine-month journey. Jwili spent six months writing the manuscripts and a further two months handling the publishing process before unveiling all six books at a single launch event.
In addition to her teaching career, Jwili is also a registered supplier of food products in Zamdela.

She said becoming an author and publisher has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.
Reflecting on the overwhelming support she received during the launch, Jwili described the experience as both humbling and healing.

“I’m humbled. I won’t recover anytime soon. I’m shocked, surprised, and completely healed at the same time through this. I have seen nothing but the faithfulness of God. One who always shows up. He did it again. Glory be to His awesome name,” she said.

She added: “I have learnt that with discipline and obedience, nothing is impossible ka Modimo.”
