Meyerton youth celebrate graduation milestone
The ceremony highlighted the centre’s commitment to empowering unemployed youth with practical skills and opportunities to unlock their potential.
MEYERTON – The INAF (I’m Not A Failure) Youth Centre, based in Meyerton Farms, held a graduation ceremony for 60 young people who attained entrepreneurship, computer, and job readiness skills through the centre’s training programme.
The ceremony, attended by scores of young people and professionals, was held at the Rothdene Town Hall on June 5. Speakers on the day congratulated the graduates, urging them to forge forward and work hard for the futures they want.
Executive Director Mzi Mngoma said it was important to celebrate the milestone, especially since June belongs to young people. He urged them to take up space and make things happen.
“Our focus is on the provision of life skills programmes that will empower the youth of our country to discover, develop, and display their untapped potential to live their best lives.”

Speaking to Ster North, Mngoma says the centre, which began operations in October 2025, focuses on young people aged 18 to 35.
“Many of the students are unemployed, and reside around Sicelo, Meyerton Farms, and Henley on Klip. Our sessions are run on Saturdays for two hours.”
Mngoma explains that to reach a large number of young people, the centre offers online training sessions. They also use the online platform to connect those within Midvaal, but can’t physically attend. The centre currently has about 285 active young people from across the Vaal.
Mngoma says they worked with the Meyerton Library on the computer skills training programme.
“Since the beginning of May 2026, the youth have been attending job-finding, workplace readiness, and Entrepreneurship programmes offered by their training partners, Stress Coach Academy.
“We would like to thank our sponsors Lynca Meats, YAB Skills, OK Minimark Meyerton, Gauteng Coaches, Redemption Rhythm and Leadership (RRL) NPC, Life Line Vaal, and Midvaal Skills Development Centre for lending a helping hand and making the ceremony a success.”
