BOPHELONG – Three men have been stabbed to death and a house torched during violent clashes between rival initiation groups.
The horrific incident unfolded at 21:30 on August 9 in the Muvhango area.
Police officers rushed to the scene following reports of a house on fire and found the property engulfed in flames.
Police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko said the bodies of three adult males were discovered.
“Two victims were found inside the house and the third at the gate, all having suffered fatal stab wounds. Emergency medical services attended the scene and officially certified all three victims dead.”
Sibeko confirmed that the motive for the killings and the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation. No arrests have been made.
