Lesedi aims to show the light to the unfortunate

Her aim is to teach the youth that they can make a change in society.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – In memory of her uncle, a Grade 8 Suncrest High School pupil has started an initiative to help the needy in the area.

Lesedi Letsobe pleads with the community to make donations to this initiative where she also aims to donate clothes and food to the less fortunate. She told Sedibeng Ster she started this drive-in memory of her late uncle, Tumelo ‘Day General’ Mohapi.

“It is through this initiative that I would like to make him proud and smile from heaven.”

Letsobe is currently working with her family Madile Letsobe (Mom) Matebesi Letsobe (Dad) Bokamoso Letsobe (Sister) on the initiative, and they have not yet received any sponsors or support. Her aim, she said, is to teach the youth that they can make a change in society, and that the difference starts within everyone who aims to spread love to people around them.

“I’d appreciate it if shop owners/managers, community leaders, and communities help me make this possible. My plan is also to work with schools especially primary schools to educate young girls and boys on the importance of taking care of themselves during their puberty.”

She ends by saying that she aims to teach the youth that they can make a change in society.

Those who would like to assist Letsobe can reach her at 069 581 3146 (Calls and WhatsApp) or email lesedi09letsobe@gmail.com
