Four dead after boat capsizes
The tragedy took place on Saturday afternoon on the Vaal River near Three Rivers.
VEREENIGING.- In a statement Community Emergency Response Team (CERT-SA) said on Saturday afternoon, October 21, at around 16:50, their Vaal crew was activated for a boating incident in Three Rivers, Vereeniging.

Information received stated that a motorboat carrying ten people had capsized.
“Unfortunately, four of the occupants had drowned and were pronounced dead on scene. Six other patients were assessed but declined transport to hospital.”
CERT-SA thanked Netcare911, ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd. , Gauteng Emergency Medical Services, Sharp Med EMS, Emfuleni Fire and Rescue, South African Police Service Waterwing, and SSG Security for their assistance in the scene.
