Sedibeng SAPS retired police’s year-end function
VEREENIGING.- Sedibeng SAPS retired policemen and women held their year end function at Taoles Garden Events in Vereeniging recently.

This organisation was established with the main aim to look after each other as retired police officers. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the organisation Spokesperson, Aubrey “The Great” Moopeloa said the aim was close the year on a high note and wish each other safe festive holidays. The retired policemen and women came in numbers to say goodbye to the year 2023 as it has been a long year.
Moopeloa said it was good to see some of their former colleagues still in good health and still passionate about their job even though they retired.
He said, “once a police officer always a police officer”.
“It was a great day as we continued to celebrate our friendship as former colleagues in SAPS. We still love this job even though we retired because it was not only a job to us, but we loved it. I feel there is a lot that have since changed in SAPS since some of us retired. We spoke about a lot of things that that are missing in SAPS unlike during our days. But we are here to guide those who are willing to learn because we walked this road before and our experience is still key to help this young generation of police officers. I can see there
are many young SAPS members which is good for our country but they must learn from those who walked this path before,” said Moopeloa.
