Water interruption notice

Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) has announced a possible water supply disruption.

Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) has notified residents of a possible water supply disruption due to an electrical fault at Rand Water. Residents are urged to use water sparingly during this critical period.
Areas that might be affected include:
• De Deur
• Walkers Fruit Farms
• Savanna City Extension 3 and 4
• Lakeside Estates
Residents are urged to practice water conservation by implementing the following strategies:
• Install a low-flow shower head and tap aerators where possible.
• Where possible, take a 2-minute shower rather than taking a bath.
• Avoid watering lawns and gardens with clean water.
• Where possible, use watering cans instead of a hosepipe to irrigate plants.
• Try to plant indigenous or drought-resistant shrubs in your garden.
• Collect rainwater for re-use in the garden or washing the car.
• Use a broom instead of a hosepipe when cleaning driveways or patios.
• Flush halfway after urinating.
• Close a running tap while brushing your teeth or shaving.
• Regularly check toilets and taps for leaks.
Midvaal pledges to continuously serve all of its customers and citizens with high-quality drinking water, thereby assuring the long-term security of the water supply. Customers are urged to assist by using water prudently and sparingly.
