Dreams delayed aren’t dreams denied for Sekrowa
Sekrowa has represented the school in athletics at district level and obtained position two and advanced to provincial level.

SEBOKENG. – A loud cheering can be heard from the streets of Sebokeng because talented 19-year-old Thabiso Sekrowa, an athlete from Sehopotso Secondary School in Zone 12, Sebokeng does not only shine in his academics but also has an astonishing talent in the track field.
His passion for running ignited at a very young age, he was in grade 1 when he started running for the school, and since then he has been a tremendous athlete.
When he got to high school, he played soccer in grade 8 and withdrew from playing in 2023 when he was in grade 11 to embark on his journey of being an athlete and he has loved being a runner ever since.

Sekrowa has represented the school in athletics at the district level obtained position two and advanced to the provincial level, about forty schools were competing and he won, before advancing to compete at the provincial and national levels in Cape Town.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sekrowa, said that his happy place is being on the field and competing with other athletes and that he is grateful for the support he has been receiving not only from home but also at school.
The support he has from the school is enormous, his coach and teacher Thabo Lekote has been with him since 2023 when he started running for the school and the school has given him someone who trains him at home, this is to encourage him not to abandon in his dream of becoming the world’s known athlete.
“We are proud of him as the school and I am very confident that Thabiso will go far in life as long as he believes that whatever you put your mind into, you can achieve.”
