Perfect Academy and Young Pirates, a two horse race in Stream A?

"It is not going to be an easy game but I must say we are ready and prepared to die with our boots on in the field."

SEDIBENG.- Safa Sedibeng Hollywood Regional Men’s League has become interesting after mixed results over the weekend.

Second-placed, Young Pirates FC brought down the log leaders on their knees after they beat them 2-0 in the top-of-the-table Stream A clash at the Qedilizwe grounds in Evaton over the weekend. These unexpected results have caused panic among Perfect Academy’s supporters.

However, despite the defeat, Perfect Academy is still at the summit of the log with 42 points while Young Pirates is second placed with 40 points. However, Perfect Academy has a game in hand that still gives them an advantage over Pirates FC.

However, it will not be easy for Academy to look at their next opponents as they host the inform Vaal Milano FC at George Thabe Stadium in Sharpeville on Saturday.

The game kicks-off at 13:00.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Perfect Academy coach, Sechaba Mofokeng said that the aim is to win all their remaining games. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that, they won’t make the same mistake as last season when they missed the league with the teeth of their skins.

“We are going to fight until the drop of our blood to win this stream, come the end of the season. The defeat against Young Pirates is now water under the bridge as we are looking forward to our game against Vaal Milano. It is not going to be an easy game but I must say we are ready and prepared to die with our boots on in the field come Saturday. We can’t afford to make the same mistake again like last season when we lost the league in the last stage of the season.” Said Mofokeng.

In another stream, Stream B, Reall Hearts FC, and VUT FC are red hot favourates to be crowned the champions in this stream at the end of the season. Real Hearts FC last season represented Sedibeng at the Play-offs for promotion to the ABC Motsepe League but failed to gain promotion. It will be very interesting to see which team will represent Sedibeng at the promotional Play-offs at the end of the season.
