EVATON.- Evaton Police have received numerous cases where people see items on Facebook and other websites that are on the market for lower prices and are robbed of their hard-earned cash.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said that people order these items and never receive them as a result of fraud.

To avoid such cases of fraud Msibi offers the following tips when doing online shopping:

*Research the seller before buying anything
*Do not use your debit card to shop online
*Stay private while using public WiFi
*If it is too good to be true, it is probably false
*Shop with the shops that you know and trust
