The nomination was announced on the kykNET program on Sunday evening, April 28. Meyertonites who would like to see the town crowned as this year’s Town of the Year can text the word “Meyerton” to 33157.
Each person can send a maximum of 30 SMS.
The town that receives the most votes will then be declared the winner. Voting opened Sunday evening, April 28 and closes May 3 at noon.
So there are only four days left to vote, so get those fingers busy! Text messages cost R1.50 each.
