The owners of this African Grey parrot, named Ashes, are desperately searching for her after she disappeared in the Randvaal, Garthdale area. According to her owner, Ms Anet van Wyk, the family relocated to Garthdale on April 1.
Ashes flew away about a month ago.
She was seen in a tree for two weeks before disappearing. ‘I desperately need to find her. She doesn’t know the area yet. It’s getting very cold at night and we are worried about her.
She’s no ordinary bird, she calls me Ouma or Anet and she can count. She talks a lot in the mornings and before sunset,’ says Anet. Anyone who sees a parrot in the Garthdale/Randvaal area that might be Ashes should please contact Anet on 079 211 2878.
