Search for missing Lucky turns futile

The family is worried about his whereabouts and pleads with the members of the community to assist them in finding their loved one.

SEBOKENG. – A tip-off about where to search for the missing for Lucky Daniel Mantsoe (38) proved fruitless on Tuesday.

The Sebokeng SAPS are still continuing with a search for Mantsoe who has been missing since May 20, this year. On Tuesday the Sebokeng police and the Sedibeng K9 search and rescue embarked on a search for Mantsoe after they received a tip-off that he (his body) might be at the outskirts of Boitumelo.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that the team searched in the said area but Mantsoe was not found.

About Mantsoe’s case, Mokhachane said:

“Samuel Thabang Hlangebe alleges that on Sunday, 2024-05-20, he left his brother Lucky in Zone 24 Sebokeng, together with his friend. Lucky never came home nor reported that he was not coming back. On Thursday 2024-05-23, Lucky’s colleagues arrived and alleged that Lucky has not been at work since Monday, and they left. Later the same day, they returned and further alleged they heard rumours that Lucky was said to be seen at a Shebeen in Boitumelo Sebokeng.”

Mantsoe was never seen or heard from again, and Mokhachane said that the family is worried about his whereabouts and pleads with the members of the community to assist them in finding their loved one.

Any person who may have information about his whereabouts can contact Sebokeng SAPS on 0824989563, 08600 10111, or 10111
