A very young at heart Vaalie, Trudie van der Westhuizen (82), recently joined the Helplift Network Vaal Triangle team and volunteered to facilitate hand craft classes. Many Vaal Triangle residents will remember her as the owner of Hobby Hut, many years ago. In Van der Wetshuizen’s first class she taught Helplift’s students to make slippers. She is challenging other pensioners to share their knowledge and invites everyone to come join the Helplift team to facilitate a class once a week with their gifted talents and time.
