SEBOKENG – The Sebokeng SAPS, represented by Lieutenant Colonel Phillip Rafube and Captain Puleng Tshabalala, recently led the Business Against Crime Forum committee election session at Batho Pele Hall.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane explained that the purpose of the election is to evaluate and identify failures to strengthen and put extra measures in place to improve the fight against crime.

“During this time of the year, businesses are targeted and the shoppers are also unsafe. It is important to increase visibility around shopping malls and shopping centres,” Mokhachane said.

During the session, Rafube shared pointers on specific crimes around malls and shopping centres in Sebokeng. This was to shed light to the forum as to what challenges the police are facing.
