SEDIBENG.– The matriculants from various secondary schools in the area of Vaal Marina were given a well-deserved send off when different stakeholders held a farewell on their behalf recently.

The role players included the SAPS District Commissioner, Major General Lemba, the District Social Crime Prevention Coordinator Sergeant Thembane, Vaal Marina Station Commander Captain Greyling, Vaal Marina Social Crime Prevention Coordinator Constable De Huis, Church ambassadors and the Good Hope Foundation. The day started at about 11:00 where the matriculants were pampered with make-up, hairdos and clothing before they had their lunch.

“The official programme started at about 16:30 where General Lemba was one of the drivers to transport a learner and on arrival at the venue they were ushered inside the venue at Anchor Hall,” Constable De Huis explained.

Legendary Principal and Football Administrator, Dr Olifant Molefe also gave a word of motivation at the event.
