Elderly treated to a fun day

VEREENIGING.- It was fun-filled day for the elderly people of Zilisimenye Elderly Home when the facility hosted the Annual Family Fun Day at Leeuwkuil Drive in Duncanville.

It was a Saturday well spent with senior citizens participating in various activities such as games, live performances, and joyful caroling. A raffle and prize-giving also formed part of the festivities. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Ncumisa Mphi said was encouraging to see these senior citizens enjoying themselves take part in many activities.

Mphi said the day was made possible by the AVBOB Vereeniging, who was the main sponsor of the event. Some of the companies that contributed to the success of this event include Worthy Women and Rotary Ann Three Rivers. According to Mphi the main purpose of the event was to raise funds for the establishment and well-being of beneficiaries, as well as spending quality time with their families.

“This day has become a beloved tradition, eagerly anticipated by our residents and their families. The excitement reached new heights as our elderly volunteered for a dance competition, creating lasting memories of joy and laughter.”
