VEREEENIGING.- JJ Sporting FC will host a massive development tournament from December 5-7.
This tournament is scheduled to take place at Dick Fourie Stadium. It will consist of the following age groups, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19.
Tyrone Koller, who is the organiser of this tournament revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport that the aim of tournament is to give youngsters a platform to showcase their talent.
The winners will receive trophies, medals, and soccer kits in all the divisions. Koller said parents and supporters are welcome to come in large numbers, as the picnic area is available. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that they want to make this tournament memorable for these youngsters. He also revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport they will be inviting some of the teams participating in the Gauteng Development League (GDL).
“We want to make this tournament big and preparations are advanced. We have already received a number of the teams that are interested in being part of the tournament. The tournament is an opportunity for youngsters to play against the best teams in Gauteng hence I’m inviting some of the DGL teams to be part of this tournament,” he said.
