He said this year was one of the exciting seasons that saw the revival of the two streams, Vereeniging and Vanderbijlpark.

“It was not easy the expectations and demands were very high, but with a good and healthy working relationship of our league administrator Kelebobogile Sehume and myself, we once again did our best to make sure we had a smooth-running development league season for 2004.
Despite starting very late we managed to strategise and plan our league programme accordingly. We finished on time as expected by our mother body SAFA and MYSAFA Inqaku. This the league consisted of 58 teams from different areas of Emfuleni and we had seven teams that couldn’t finish the first round. We had no choice but to expel them from the league,” said Zondo

Zondo also acknowledged the sponsors, media houses, and individuals who made this league a great success. Vaal Gardens Sports Academy from Sebokeng Stream was crowned the Champ of Champs in the U11 age group. Vaal Octopus FC from Evaton Stream wascrowned the undisputed champions in the U13 category. Vaal Gardens Sports Academy once again won the U15 division, while Sebokeng Ajax was crowned the champions in the U17.
