VEREENIGING.- Earth Sports will host Top 16 Tournament at Steel Park ground on November 30. This tournament is for the following sporting codes, netball, soccer u17 and u19. The tournament is part of the players to have fun after their final exams.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Sifiso Zondo who is part of the organisers said this tournament will give players to release their stress after a long year especially after exams. Zondo said the preparations are at advance stages but he appeals to the teams to get more basketball teams. He said they are short of basketball teams at the moment.
“This tournament it is not necessary organizing by Sevel Stars FC, I’m just helping the organisers to make this tournament a success. We invite all the teams to be part of this initiative to promote sports and make friendship while playing. We all know that exams are the most stressful for these youngsters so we decided to host this tournament just for them to loosen up. Sports is therapy especially at time like this after a long year,” said Zondo.
