VANDERBIJLPARK – Scores of Bophelong residents barricaded the Golden Highway on Friday, December 06.

The protest is in line with the national shutdown calling for foreign nationals to close their shops and leave the country.

Other roads and entrances that were outlined include, President Hyper, Tau Bazaar, Vereeniging Fresh produce market, Sharpeville Bridge, Golden Highway, the N1 and the R59.

Protesters barricaded Golden Highway with burning tyres, bricks and debis.
