Nthabiseng together with her co-accused Lineo Raditsela made a brief appearance at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court for what was meant to be their bail application on December 3. The bail application was postponed after the defense applied to get documents from the state. The two remain in custody.
SHARPEVILLE – The family of murdered David Tlali (42) from Tshepiso Phase 5 says they are reeling in shock after his wife Nthabiseng Tlali was arrested and implicated in his murder.
His sister, Malefu Tlali, said they are disappointed because they never thought that something this bizarre would happen.
“My brother’s life was taken away just like that. We needed him and he still had a lot to live for. How he lost his life is very saddening to us as a family. All we want is for justice to be served. We want his killers to spend a long time behind bars.”
Gender-based violence brigades assigned to the case by the Department of Community Safety offered David’s family their support, citing that their duty is to always stand with the victim.
“We stand with the family and we assure them that we will stand with them throughout the case.”
Masechaba Tshabalala said they were shocked that a woman had been implicated in the brutal murder. She said that their role as GBV brigades is to give support to the victim, whether male or female.
