Youth Must Rise’s charity drive a success

"Our existence lies in making a difference."

BOPHELONG.- Youth Must Rise brought joy and hope to the Kgahliso Children’s Home last Saturday.

This was the conclusion of their Annual Charity Day, which started on October 29.

Youth Must Rise collected donations, including food, toiletries, and clothes, until December 1. These donations were handed over to the children’s home, where the team spent the day playing games, having a braai, and interacting with the children.

Youth Must Rise is a youth movement dedicated to the rise of the youth of South Africa through being embedded in consciousness, collaboration, and community.

Karabo Nkoli, Founder and Chairperson of Youth Must Rise, said, “This donation drive comes from a place of love. Community is an integral principle of Youth Must Rise… our existence lies in making a difference.”

The owner and founder of the home, Salamina Mokgatle, expressed her gratitude for the support and appealed for more help from the community and stakeholders, as the home receives no government support.
