Hlongwane wins Man of the Match in the Carling Cup
Hlongwane received a heroic welcome from the Beverly Hills community
SEBOKENG.- Naledi Hlongwane received a heroic welcome from the Beverly Hills community in Vaal.
This was after this young star stunned South African soccer fans with his outstanding performance when he scored a brace for the Black Label All-Stars team to beat Magesi FC 3-0 in the Black Label Cup exhibition match at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

This Kaizer Chiefs DSTV Diski Challenge forward earned himself a Man of the Match award winning a whopping R100 000 cheque for his performance.

When he arrived home, he was welcomed by his hometown community. Hlongwane didn’t only make his township proud but the entire Vaal. To make it interesting, he played alongside another young star from Vaal, Relebohile Mofokeng. The football fraternity watched in disbelief as Hlongwane mesmerised his opponents like a seasoned player.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Hlongwane said he is planning to honour his late father by buying him a tombstone with the money he received.

“My father passed away last year. I will also give my mother some and invest the rest,” said the young star as he was applauded by journalists.
Hlongwane rose to stardom after he was recommended to the SA U17 National Team for the COSAFA Cup camp in 2019. This was long before he joined Kaizer Chiefs development.
Many have since suggested that Kaizer Chiefs promote this young star to the senior team.
