Man shot multiple times while looking for kidnapped wife

According to the victim he was driving around in search of his wife who had been hijacked in Evaton.

SEBOKENG.– Evaton police are investigating an attempted murder case after a man was shot multiple times in Zone 6, Ext 5 last Wednesday.

According to an employee at TK’s Shell filling station, the victim approached him and his colleagues in the early morning hours in search of his missing wife. Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi said:

“The victim was driving his vehicle – a sky-blue Toyota Corolla – and was shot inside his vehicle. He, however, managed to walk to the garage to seek assistance leaving his car at the Eastern Bypass road.”

The man was transported to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.

According to the victim he was driving around in search of his wife who had been hijacked in Evaton. Msibi confirmed that police established that the shooting victim is the husband of the victim who was hijacked in Evaton at one of the local taverns the previous day.

The suspects and motive behind the incident are unknown at this stage.
