JJ Sporting attends inaugural IBER CUP in Cape Town

Bandile Mashiloane topped the scoring chart with his goals.

SEDIBENG.- After hosting a success Academy Champ of Champs Tournament, JJ Sporting FC went to Cape Town.

The club was invited to participate in the inaugural IBER Cup Tournament recently. The tournament featured well known development club from overseas.

This tournament was for the u13 and u15.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sports, Tyrone Koller said the experience was amazing.

“We took our Under 13 and Under 15 to the tournament. We saw the likes of PSG as well as PSV Eindhoven and Benfica playing in the tournament.  Our Under 13 were very unlucky, however they fought to the death. Bandile Mashiloane topped the scoring chart with his goals, leading the team. Our under 15s featured an Under 15 national team player, and we participated with great drive. There were great performances by the team and they reached the semi-final. What an achievement”, he said.

Koller said after 2024 Gauteng Department Promotion League season this was an amazing response. He said that he is proud of both teams’ performance.

The teams have also been invited to the second edition of IBER Cup to be held in June and July next year.
