Come and help count waterfowl on the Vaal River

Kick off the year with a day on the Vaal River for a good cause.

VANDERBIJLPARK – One of the Vaal Bird Club’s most enjoyable projects each year is the summer bird count on the Vaal River.

Anyone is welcome to join and help count the waterfowl. It’s free, but a place must be booked in advance.

There is usually more than one boat that departs from Stonehaven on Vaal for participants to enjoy the serenity of the river and some of the bird population.

Everyone meets at Stonehaven on Vaal (the official sponsors of the day) at 06:00, after which the necessary instructions will be given. The boats leave at 06:30.

Bring your own food and drinks (no alcohol) and remember your hat, sunblock, binoculars, and camera.

Book in time with Cliff Wright on 076 503 8683.
