School talk at Thuto-Lore Secondary School

The learners were informed about the seriousness of bullying as a human rights violation and physical harm to other learners.

SHARPEVILLE.- The Sharpeville SAPS Social Crime Prevention Coordinator, together with sector managers, Community Policing Forum, Initiation Schools Forum, and the Gauteng Traffic Wardens conducted a school talk at the Thuto-Lore SEcondary School in Vuka, Sharpeville on Monday morning.

Police spokesperson, Constable Busisiswe Sango said that approximately five hundred learners were addressed.

“The learners were informed about the seriousness of bullying as a human rights violation, and physical harm to other learners. They were also informed about the seriousness of cyberbullying, and using social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp to post harmful content about others.”
