VUT addresses student safety issues

The programme focused on first-year students who were going through their orientation.

SEDIBENG.- The Gauteng Department of Community Safety held an engagement session with students at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) recently.

The engagement session was aimed at addressing safety issues that exist within higher institutions of learning.

“The programme focused on first-year students who were going through their orientation. This forms part of the provincial government’s efforts to bring services closer to the public and strengthen collaboration efforts in creating awareness about gender-based violence and femicide,” the department said.
