Water flows at Thandukwazi as promised

Water is now beginning to flow, and efforts are underway to improve the water pressure.

SEBOKENG.- True to his word, the ANC Regional Secretary, Jason Mkhwane has kept his promise.

During a Back-to-School campaign visit aimed at assessing school readiness, led by the MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu Nkomo Ralehoko, the issue of a lack of water at the school was raised by the Principal of Thandukwazi Secondary School in Zone 6.

The principal highlighted the severe challenges the school faces, including a water shortage that directly affects sanitation. Upon hearing these concerns, Mkhwane, who was part of the MEC’s entourage, took immediate action and made a firm commitment to personally ensure that the school’s borehole facility would be re-electrified, and a new borehole pump would be provided to resolve the water crisis.

As it stands, work on the project is progressing. Water is now beginning to flow, and efforts are underway to improve the water pressure, ensuring that the school’s sanitation systems function properly.

“This intervention is a significant step in addressing the needs of the school, ensuring a healthier and more conducive learning environment for both learners and staff,” Mkhwane said.
